Thank u Sir Northeast India
I have learned so much from you thank you sir I appreciate your hard work🎉
Everytime I play that progression I can't help but play Zombie by the cranberries......what's in your heeaaaaad in your heeeeeead zoooombie zoooombie zoooombie eh eh
🤣🤣🤣
only question I got when it comes to bends in a song is ... how do you know to bend up or down depending on the song for me bending down is slightly easier for me
1:20 well basically acording to the video the strings are upside down according to the thickness of strings / string order 1-6 ( if you understand my thought) of the video vs the tab part on top
Awesome mate
Another gem Brian .... cheers!!!
Plenty of light bulb moments for me. Thank you Brian.
Thanks Brian !!
Great lesson Thank you
Sounded like the Candlebox song Cover Me at the beginning of the video.
Quarter notes, eighth notes, etc how do you write those?
Great lesson!
Nice man. Good job
Nice one, always something I learn Thanks as ever.
Sounds like Rik Emmett of Triumph. Thanks Big B. Take care 😎✌️🎸🎸
Great lesson
hi Brian , ive purchased guitar pro 8 , how do I find the fretboard diagram you're using at the bottom of your video, I can't find it
This is the best explanation of the CoF I have seen on UA-cam. Thank you for the clarity and comprehensiveness of this presentation. 🙏
Thank you 😀
Cool
Love that amp sound. Can you share what you're using?
I use "S Gear" for all my UA-cam vids. I just play around with the presets to find a tone that I like...usually "Heaven" or "Plexmonster" 😁
Mr. Kelly is an absolute boss in explaining things. Sometimes someone can tell you something 1000 times, and you still dont get it. Me personally, Brian has had a way of getting through my wall of idiocy and making things make sense.
Hey Brian, enjoy your videos. I’d like to see the fretboard graphic at top turned 180 degrees to align with the guitar in the video. Thanks!
ihave tried it know can play a solo
Soooooo well explained….thank you! I got most of it until the end. I need to review it to understand relationship.
when i use reaper the recorded sound loops on track one records back to the next recording on track two, becuse of one sound card, need a second sound card for play back?
Make sure that you only arm the tracks that you want to record onto. Any tracks that are armed after pressing "record" will be recorded onto. That might be it
I like talking about this stuff. Nice to hear your take. The pent. scale got me by for a long time. After I learned the other two notes, I began to get into playing a lot more. It's so much more fun with the extra notes. And easy!
This channel is a goldmine
Like the Idea..... Why not get A Baritone Acoustic? But yes, I always tune 1/2 down to D# And can always capo higher !
I just needed a video idea for this week 😁
What an excellent video Brian. My guitar teacher told me Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian & Locrian. A useful mnemonic device to remember the order of the modes is “ I Don't Play Loud Music At Lunch “ , where the first letter of each word represents the first letter of the mode. Try it guys
Thank you for your help
Best cover!
Thank you, Brian ❤
Brian where on the zombie is the you only really need these three scales to solo ? thanks :)
Great explanation!
Great good job brother, Very Nice, Please go to my chanel and watch this Lydian mode improvisation guitar solo ua-cam.com/video/0CU5dd41Ypk/v-deo.htmlsi=i3VIWrX5yXPmzYRR
I've been reading about these for a while, now, and thought I understood the distinctions. I didn't. This video explains it all so simply and completely (in true Brian style). I'm always looking for a better way; that tends to be a bad approach. Persistently staying with something that seems to work can save a lot of wasted time/effort/energy. Is Zombie the best series out there? Dunno; I suspect a lot of that depends upon the individual/circumstance. But, has it proved to be a solid, reliable, enjoyable, and, productive approach to learning how to play guitar? Hell yeah. Am I going to stop looking for the Holy Grail? Doubt it. But, I plan to spend a lot less time looking for it. Great material is here; I just need to cut out the distractions and spend more time with it...
Far Behind so describes how I feel about the loss of my closest friend about 10 years ago. If I had a musical note in my body, I would learn to play guitar just for this song. It surfaces an emotion in me like nothing else.
Watching and listening to this in. Burger King. Silently crying in my booth.
The best guitar teacher on youtube. Thanks for all. 🎵🎶🎸👌
No it not
Wow....that opening.....so many kinds of awesome!! Very strong video....thank you.
You know what Brian, I love watching you teaching yourself as you educate others. I know all this (as much as you can). Yet I enjoy watching you trying to explain it to others. It's an education in itself. Nice playing also. Over the last 8? years I've been watching your videos and if it's not to presumptive, I think you've matured a lot as a player in terms of your soloing structure. More melodic, more confident... I had to log out of Zombie guitar to put this comment on UA-cam because everyone there already knows mate.
So, essentially, the difference between the major pentatonic and minor pentatonic is the same thing logically as the difference between the Ionian and aeolian modes except 2 notes less? Another question: You referenced the pentatonic as a more rocky sound. How would you “reference” the Harmonic scale, and melodic minor scales, ie when to use?
Good questions... 1st question...yes! 2nd question...unless you are a jazz player, you probably won't be using the melodic minor scale very often (unless you happen to come across a dominant IV chord in the rhythm section). The harmonic minor scale on the other hand, is one of my favorites. I have always thought of the harmonic minor scale as sounding "exotic" or "Arabian"...that's just how it sounds to me 🤷. Melodic minor reminds me of the creepy vibe that I get from augmented chords and the whole-tone scale though !
@@zombieguitar So I’ll call the melodic minor scale the jazz scale and the harmonic minor scale the Arabian scale! lol Thank you.
@@brianlebreton7011 a lot of people actually do call the melodic minor the "jazz scale" 😁
thank you
When I really mastered the pentatonic scale, I could not unhear it. 😂 Though, I found it was really beneficial to master the pentatonic scale first. Then you realize you need more passing tones from the missing notes. I naturally learned the diatonic scale out of melody necessity. I think that it should be mentioned that the missing notes are really dissonant and that is why they aren't a part of the 5 notes.
That's not necessarily true though. If you play a CHORD TONE within the diatonic scale, then it will sound great. Otherwise, it will sound dissonant!
@@zombieguitarExactly! The two additional notes are half-step intervals from the pentatonic notes, and if used over the wrong chords can blow up the melody. But as chord tones can be sublime. Great video as usual, Brian.
So much confusion erased in just 15 minutes 😊❤
Hello, Brian. Some books of music theory talks about the "modes" of the pentatonic scale, not only major and minor!!! What a confusion!
"All this modes business" haha, brilliant !! 🤣 Brian`s zombieguitar is well worth checking out, clear and precise and has helped me a lot for many a year now. Highly recommended.
I have played guitar for quite a few years, but the musical education I'm getting from Brian is second to none. Thanks so much!
Great lesson ,all of his lesson are great, u will know everything about the guitar, either lead guitar and acoustic and i thank brian for adding some lesson in guitar zombie ..much really appreciated ..brian is great instructor 😊
